Ex: Create a Goblet by Revolve

Create a open profile

Draw a guide line 1mm from the center
Rotate ii at Z axis

 Home tab > Modeling panel > Revolve

Select the profile

Press Enter

 Pick 2 points from the guide line

Specify angle of revolution: 360

It form a surface object
