Ex: Face Editing on Solid

Extrude Faces

Home tab > Solid Editing panel > Extrude Faces



Select the face



Specify height of extrusion



Specify angle of taper for extrusion



Press Enter



Press Enter again to exit the command




Offset Faces

Home tab > Solid Editing panel > Offset Faces



Select the front face and the near by 2 curved faces



Press Enter



Specify the offset distance



The faces offset toward front


Move Faces

Change the visual style to Wireframe
Home tab > Solid Editing panel > Move Faces


Select the 3 faces



Rotate the solid by ViewCube



Repeat the rotation by ViewCube



Select all the faces



Press Enter



Specify a base point



Input 50 for the second point



The hole move to the right at 50 units


Rotate Faces


Home tab > Solid Editing panel > Rotate Faces



Draw a line at the mid of the hole for rotate axis reference



Rotate the solid by ViewCube to select all the faces of the hole



Press Enter



Snap to the mid of the reference line for the 1st axis point



Point up in Z direction. make sure the +Z is show, click for the 2nd axis point



Specify a rotation angle, press Enter




Taper Faces

Home tab > Solid Editing panel > Taper Faces


Select the face



Press Enter



Specify the base point



Specify another point along the axis



Input -5 for the taper angle to taper out




Delete Faces

Home tab > Solid Editing panel > Delete Faces


Select the 2 curved faces


Press Enter


The 2 corners become sharp coners

Color Faces

Home tab > Solid Editing panel > Color Faces


Select the face


Press Enter


Select the color


Change visual style to Shaded with Edges


Copy Faces

Home Tab > Solid Editing panel > Copy Faces


Select the face


Press Enter


Specify a base point


Point up, make sure +Z is show


Input 300 for the 2nd point
